Hey friends. Life here in the glider world has been a whirlwind lately! I’ve been really busy with the joeys. They are such a joy. I’m treasuring every moment with them – especially because I know that these are my last joeys (at least in the near future). It’s so bittersweet watching them grow. Every day brings me closer to the day that I will have to let them go to new homes and say goodbye. But each day also shows me a new side of their personalities and brings more cuteness to melt my heart.
They are both so sweet. Last night I was holding them in my hands and they were so adorable. They were both licking/gently chewing on my hand and fingers. They were awake, but they weren’t scared of me or trying to get away. They were just looking up at me with their big, dark eyes, so trusting, so beautiful and so sweet.
Baby animals bring hope and life into a dark world! 🙂
Aside from the babies, my poor little Yiska got a bladder infection. It’s fairly common for males to get them, unfortunately. I had been worried about it (for no reason) ever since I got him. Then he started hissing when he would urinate and it was slow and painful for him. It also had a very strong smell. So I got him into the vet. They looked at his urine sample and found a lot of bacteria and they said that he had a low-grade bladder infection. They gave me antibiotics for him for ten days. We’re hoping that it’ll clear up. He was already doing a lot better. He seems much more active and alert and his is urinating much better now. *nods*
So that’s what’s been going on here lately! I hope that you have a wonderful day.
